This project combined scientific surveying with artistic and sculptural techniques, allowing Jennifer Zackin to develop an "earth vision" of the site where she was commissioned to paint a mural. The 13’ x 17’ mural, painted with Lascaux Acrylic Paint, utilizes a topographic map of the land surrounding the building on which it was painted. By integrating topography, art, and mapping, the work became both a visual and geographic exploration of place.
